The request of the municipality for the municipal investment program for repair work in the catbird hall was rejected by the government of upper franconia, said mayor thomas kneipp (CSU) in the municipal council meeting on tuesday. The requested maintenance inspections are therefore postponed for the time being for budgetary reasons, with the exception of the hall lighting.

The administration will be instructed to submit the corresponding request application.
Pipes are damaged
In the course of a visual inspection of the piping between the kindergarten playground and the B 173 through road by the municipal building yard, various damages and break-outs were found within the pipes. A camera inspection is required for further assessment of the pipe's stability, according to the mayor. The board decided to award the contract.
Regarding the sewage disposal in obersdorf, anger, thelitz and reuth, the council decided to connect the pumping station to the clearing plant in hochstadt by remote control. "If there's a leak anywhere in here, the vacuum will give up the ghost", said kneipp. However, as this is not immediately reported automatically, it could under certain circumstances lead to serious problems. The total costs in the municipal area are estimated at 2638 euros, according to kneipp. The measures include hedge maintenance, preservation and care of valuable habitats, implementation and development measures for grassland biotopes, and the restoration of near-natural site and habitat conditions. The council agreed to take over the municipal share.
The mayor informed the board that the budget for the current fiscal year, including the borrowing of 165150 euros for investments, had been approved by the lichtenfels district council.
Town road to be rehabilitated
Kneipp pointed out that according to the road construction office in bamberg, several small repair jobs are to be carried out on the B 173 through road this year. In the coming year, a rough repair inspection is planned.
